As I reflect and contemplate the success principles that I have studied over the years and work hard at applying to my life, I think about one that I feel is at the foundation of so many others. It is the glue that pieces many of the others to create the masterpiece that we call life. It is the power of deliberate intention. We live in a society that ostracizes those individuals that choose to think and live outside the box. People who do not conform to the societal norm are looked at with judgmental eyes. We grow up in a society that supports blindly following our mothers, fathers, teachers, and authority figures. We are not encouraged to think outside the box. If you doubt these assertions, take a step back and observe the world around you. How many people do you find who have clearly defined their highest values and are living their life congruent with those values? How many of you have clearly defined your values and your intentions? If you have not, you are at the mercy of your emotional desires, whims, and societal pressures that are all around you. If you truly want to live the life of your dreams, you need to realize you have the ability to do so, however, it will not come to you as random happen-chance. It will only come from you as a result of living your life by deliberate intention.
Start to take inventory of the thoughts you are creating in your head. Are the words and thoughts you are silently playing in your mind those that have been planted there from years of passive observation or are you actively engaging in the thoughts of today that will manifest your destiny of tomorrow. As always, the choice is yours.
"We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” -Marianne Williamson
